BeatBench
StoppedRecording: tap pads to add notes. They snap to the beat and repeat on the next pass.
Make your first loop
- Start a beat. Choose a pattern, then Play. All 16 steps repeat as one bar until you stop.
- Add a sound. Pick an instrument next to Add channel. Adding it keeps the current beat.
- Build on the loop. Tap Record pads and play the pads. Your hits snap to the nearest step. Tap Done recording to keep listening without adding more notes.
- Make it yours. Tap steps to add or remove notes. Select a channel to shape its sound. Undo takes back your latest edit or recording take.
BPM is the speed. Swing gives the beat a shuffled feel. Your loop saves on this device automatically.
CHANNEL 01
Kick
What do these controls do?
- Level
- How loud this channel is. Use the bottom Volume slider for the whole beat.
- Pitch
- Makes a sound higher or lower. 12 semitones (st) moves it one octave.
- Tone
- Lower sounds darker and softer; higher sounds brighter and sharper.
- Decay
- How long each note rings out. Short for a tight beat, long for a lingering sound.
- Pan
- Moves the sound between the left and right speakers. Best heard with headphones.
- On / Off · Mute / Solo
- Switch a channel Off, or use Mute, to silence it while keeping its notes. Solo lets you hear just your soloed channels.
- Duplicate / Remove
- Duplicate copies a channel and its notes so you can change the copy. The trash button removes a channel; Undo brings it back. Keep at least one channel, or use Clear to empty the loop.
